Happy Wednesday!! For the record, I'm not ALWAYS chirpy in the mornin'. But I am quite often, which is a very good thing due to the transitions with my sister and her fam moving in.
Little Daniel Jayden Lee has been a very good boy!! SO FAR. :P
Finallllyyyy!! I got to sleep well last night! If you recall, I mentioned the other day that I haven't been able to sleep well lately. I became so desperate to get a good night's sleep so I can work at optimum level.
To remedy that, I declared to God last night that I have faith that He cares even about the little things (but maybe not so little) in life--such as sleep and rest.
I knew that the promises in da Word are true, and He hears & answers.
I asked for some rest in my heart and in my body, and that--He heard. I don't think He's kidding when He says that He delights in a childlike faith!!
And so I slept like a
I believe that this is a huge lesson in faith. Whether it be a great massive thing, or a small care, He hears us because because He loves me and you.
The funny thing is that this morning as I was reading da Word, I stumbled across the verse that says, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest...and You will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:28)
I realize that this may be a loaded 'question' or 'pre-assumption' for many individuals out there. But I truly believe that He's so in love with me that He wants me to hang on to Him like a child would to her dad. I guess this is what truly makes me want to love myself in a healthy way. The fact that He loves me and calls me His beloved is proof that I'm beautiful just as I am. (Of course, I still have a lot of growing to do)
And this is true for all who are out there (male and female) He calls you beloved, and He calls you beautiful. My hope is that as each day unfolds, you will know more and more how precious you really are. <33
Even doing all these 'healthy' things for our bodies are just an act of embracing who we are (as well as enhancing our health) rather than try to make ourselves someone we're not. Don't know if this makes sense.
On a very different note, I'll share what I had for breakfast. This time, I cooked for me AND my sis. Sometimes I actually eat my mother's cooking in the morning, but not so much anymore. It is the traditional Korean food with a lot of veggies and sometimes meat! And rice. But today I cooked up some Millet Vanilla Porridge.
Is it just me or is this missing something? Ahhhh coconut flakes...
Much better! I think we all agree that porridge and oatmeal is good--but it's all about the topping, no? :) It's topped with raisins, cinnamon, coconut, and crumbs from my Chocolate Shell Cake sans the chocolate.
If you haven't tried Millet yet, I really suggest you do! It has a nutty and sweet taste to it. It seems to boast a great deal of nutrition and fiber *ahem*. Here are the stats.
