At the Foodbuzz Fest! :) I arrived at San Francisco a couple of hours ago because my flight was at 7:00 am. I can't remember the last time I woke up at 4:15 am and when it is still dark outside--and I mean when it's pitch black.
My bags were ready, my camera was packed, and my snacks were all ready to go this morning! Also, I can confidently say that this time I will NOT lose all of my SF pictures like the last time I was here! ;)
One of the things that I love about San Fran is that it somewhat reminds me of Argentina: the rowdy streets, the cute little shops everywhere, and the pedestrian friendly roads all remind me of my homeland. I like the fact that people can walk up to any store within 100 ft. from where they're at.
Not long after I arrived, I visited a lovely cafe called La Boulange while I waited for the hotel room to get ready.
I got to read some of the Bible and used my phone's internet. Despite the amazingness that La Boulange upholds, it is rather surprising that they don't offer wi-fi! Hm, go figure.
Not surprisingly, San Francisco has some of the best eateries around. It's not only because there are so many of them, though there are, but because these eateries don't shy away from offering condiments and add-ons such as these:
I know, "whoaaa" were my exact words. Never in my life have I seen a cafe offer Nutella as a toast spread. :P
La Boulange is the ideal place to just read and relax because of its open and refreshing ambiance. It's not overly cluttered, and it's large enough so that one can get some privacy.
I ordered a very-much-needed coffee with soy milk.
Afterwards, I headed over to the Grand Hyatt Hotel to check-in with Foodbuzz. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly greeted by one of the FB staff members with my name tag and a "swag bag"! Does that logo look familiar to you?
Haha, I remember that ever since I started reading blogs, some people would talk about "swag bags", and at the time I had no idea what they meant by that. ;)
As some of you may know, green is my ultimate favorite color, and this entire room has a light turquoise and green color scheme to it! Wahooo~! Something about green makes me feel giddy and calm altogether.
Well, I have to keep this post short, but I hope you have a safe, blessed, and beautiful weekend everyone! Stay tuned for more updates--that is, if I can make time to post in the midst of all the busy fun.
Are you doing anything out of the ordinary this weekend?
Have you been to SF? If so, what aspects do you like about SF?
And what places would you recommend?
Grace & Peace,
