Happy New Years Eve everyone! :D Wahoooo! I cannot even believe that it's already year 2012. Like someone used to always say, everyday is Sunday. Which, by the way, means that I'm feeling older as each day goes by, hah!
One day when I am 85 years old and I want to look back at youthful memories, I will make sure to check back to this post. That is, if advanced technology hasn't gotten rid of my blog by then. Or, assuming that the world hasn't been obliterated by the end of 2012. :P
If you have been reading up on my blog this year, then I'm sure you know just how thankful I am for...
The conception and birth of Fit for the Soul in January 2011. That first awkward post that we all dread looking at, yet we all delight in seeing just how much we've improved our blogs, writing, and perhaps even our way of thinking.
I was showered with Grace by becoming engaged to my Prince Charming, Greg! (Though I also know the not-so-charming things about him, and vice versa) ;)
Greg and I have had countless of opportunities to serve at different churches. During those times, we learned to grow together in faith, trust, and surrender to the Lord. One great lesson we've both been learning is that no matter what happens, God deserves our praise just because He's such a good God--no if's and's or buts.
I finally graduated with a B.A., even though at times it felt like it was an unreachable goal.
A new hobby came out as a result of blogging too, and ever since then I've been loving on my used Canon. It was probably one of the coolest purchases I have ever made, not to mention, it's allowed me to use it as an outlet to let my creative juices runnin'.
In addition to all this, my sister finally came to know Christ as her Lord and Savior!! Her life has turned around 180 degrees, and it has been a beautiful and adventurous ride for her and our entire family.
New and wonderful friendships have been formed with people like Sophia, and I got to meet a bunch of amazing bloggers through the Foodbuzz Festival in San Francisco!
Through numerous trial and errors [and kitchen messes], lots of delicious treats like the coconut macaroons happened as a result.
I have also learned to love "weird" and healthy foods that many of my loved ones have yet to try without cringing at the sight of them. :P
Last but definitely not the least, the big details for the wedding have been coming through, such as the wedding venue and the day that I got my dress.
I know that 2012 will be filled with so many unexpected blessings from God and countless of adventures. Although I'm not one to make specific goals whenever a new year begins, I will say this...
I hope and strive for more growing in my character and walk with God this year. Not only do I want to enjoy all of its beautiful moments such as the upcoming wedding, but I also want to make the most it with a grateful attitude, during the hard times just as much as in the good times.
HAVE A SAFE AND AWESOME NEW YEARS EVE Y'ALL!!!!
