Happy Monday everyone! Last night my friends came over to my house to help with the wedding preps. While I was browsing through Michaels earlier in the evening, I was formulating in my mind just what I should make for the girls.
I had that AHA!!! moment as soon as I thought of the delicious White Linens Collection marinara sauce I purchased form Costco the other day. This is seriously the most scrumptious and closest thing to true Italian flavors, in my honest opinion. :D
Although I was set on making pasta with veggies for the girls, I knew that I had to incorporate protein in one way or another...
Enter marinara sauce mixed with the vegan cheesy garlic sauce I made the other day! :)
Whenever I don't have meat readily available in the fridge/freezer, I always opt for nuts, beans, and all sorts of natural foods for protein.
Last night I actually made a veggie pasta bake topped with Muenster cheese with the sauce I tweaked. The sauce included the marinara, the vegan sauce, and some Greek yogurt. Nevertheless, we were so ravenous that we ended up forgetting to snap a picture!
But believe me, it was delicious that the pasta bake got thumbs up from AJ and Susan. :D
Today's lunch featured that baked yam topped with the make-shift sauce, along with cheese and steamed broccoli on the side.
I know this picture looks funky! But you have to trust me that this was one of the best home lunches I've had as of late...haha.
Warm Up and Intervals on the Stepmill
As soon as I got to the gym today, I went through this super quick routine as a warm-up. I've been stretching more than warming up before my workouts! So I did this only once.
Then, I hopped on the stepmill and put it on level 7. I kept raising the levels up until level 13 after doing a full 360 degree turn while stepping up.
This time, instead, after 2 rounds, I would go up to level 18 and run up the stepmill for only 1 minute. Then, I would go back to the previous level I was on. It's such a heart-pumper and it seems to make me sweat a whole bucket! If you have questions regarding this routine, let me know.
Afterward, I hopped on the treadmill for 20 minutes and walked for 10 minutes.
Well, I have to get going and if there are crazy grammar mistakes on here, I apologize! :P
Have you done intervals on the Stepmill before?
What's your favorite quick pasta inspired recipe?
Have a blessed day,
