Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a great week so far. It feels like I haven’t connected with you for so long now! Although it seems as though I’ve fallen off the face of the earth, I am indeed still alive. Yes, even with our precious little daughter around now, I am gloriously trudging through the day and the many sleepless nights. I have to admit that I’m kind of more than excited for the nights when she’ll be sleeping longer hours, haha. But even with that in mind, I’m trying to take it all in right now and not complain because I know that Selah will be a newborn for only so long. I cannot believe how big she’s gotten already, and I’ve learned that even when she’s gassy and relentlessly crying through the wee hours I can still keep my sanity thanks to prayer. Yes, praying for her well being and my own sanity definitely helps along with the process! And you know what? I’ve been discovering that my prayers for other people have gotten that much more consistent and much more powerful than before. Instead of pulling my hair out when she’s gassy and crying, I decided that praying for all causes and all the people in my life during those tearful hours keeps my prayer life rich, fulfilling, and more consistent. Also, it helps to witness those very prayers getting answered little by little. I guess I can now say that I go to morning prayer? Hah!
Of course, this isn’t to say that I haven’t had my moments of desperation because believe me—a few nights ago all I could find myself saying to Selah was, “just go to sleeeep, pleeeease just go to sleeeeep! Arghhh” But good thing that we've made up and are on good terms now.
So, I’ve finally decided to invest in a good smart phone since my old one was terrible and I had to reset it at least 15 times. Last weekend I bit the bullet (after Greg encouraged me for the past 5 months) and purchased a new iPhone. Well, what do you know? This phone truly kicks the behind of my old one, which was a 3 year old Android. Knowing that I have so much space right now got me really excited at the thought of downloading apps (the other one had only facebook and twitter), and now I’m back on Instagram again! So today I’ll be sharing some Instagram and regular phone pictures to show what I’ve been up to.
I love seeing her observe our expression and copy them
She’s been smiling from the 1st week! I think she likes to pose.
Oops, got cut off. Refreshing shrimp salad at Pho—finally took Selah out!
French toast with PB and fruit. Trying to limit my intake of coffee due to breastfeeding!
