How to shape Up in 10 Minutes a Day

by fitforthesoul in

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful week filled with lots of smiles and the things you love! One of the things that I’ve been loving this week is the following cardio workout that will knock your socks off {literally} because it is that intense.  It is brutal yet so simple and quick for when you are short on time.  Like I mentioned before, unless I squeeze in some Ballet Body time about once or twice a week, the other 2 or 3 days of fitting in fitness include either walking with Selah or quick bursts of cardio moves.  Hey, you have to work with what you’ve got and make the most of it, right?

This routine should take no more than 10 minutes at a time—that is, including a short resting time in between.  I have included some {terrible} photos in an attempt to demonstrate how the exercises go.  Ready?  Let’s do this!

{1}  Get down on the floor with your back straight and core tight.  Perform 5 mountain climbers.  (Each jump = one rep)

{2}  Get back up and quickly get into a lunge position and perform 5 jumping lunges.  (Each jump = 1 rep)

{3} Get back down on the floor and quickly prepare yourself for the next move.

{4} Perform 5 mountain climbers again, and go all the way up to 50 reps altogether! Keep repeating the sequence until you complete it at least 4 times.

I have been trying to take Selah out more these days, and most of the time she seems to be fine!  But other times, well…she’s just being a baby and finishing a meal at a restaurant means getting a to-go box after 10 minutes of sitting, hah!  Also, Greg and I have been quite the busy birds looking for and test driving a used car.  Basically, my car has been totaled due to the accident and we are trying to go with the most reliable yet inexpensive car we can find.  Most likely a Honda, yup!

And of course, being the overexcited mom that I am to this 2 month old has me snapping pictures all over the place!  I really should stop.  Somehow, sometime.  Trust me, you don’t want to see my phone gallery because it’s exploding with so much cuteness you might just go blind.

Have a beautiful day!

Do you consider yourself a cardio queen/king, or more of a strength-trainer?

-I’ve always been more of a strength-trainer but now I’m mixing up a little bit of both.

Have you bought a used car?
