And so the madness begins! You see the gorgeous ring wrapped around that pretty little finger? Susan is getting married, yay!
Wedding fever is just around the corner, and whilst I am thrilled and in awe of the fact that friends are finally tying the knot--a phenomenon that is happening at a nice rhythmic pace--I also can't believe that...Gahhh okay I'll just say it. That we've all grown so much! I clearly remember when Susan, Sarah, and I met at church about 7 years ago. We were just wee little kids finding our way through life. Confused about our struggles. Uncertain about the future. Volatile in every way possible especially when it came to liking boys, or in my case, handsome and chivalrous men (aka Greg who is 10 years older than me), hah!
Anyway, despite our highs and lows we've been able to keep this friendship going. We all agree that sometimes there had to be a spark of rekindling going on because let's face it, life isn't perfect and certain seasons do take over some areas of life. I got married and moved about 40 minutes away (sometimes takes 1 hr due to LA traffic), was blessed with the most precious daughter I could have asked for, and work+ministry are of utmost priority. All this was happening while Sarah herself was getting married and Susan took a full on career at the headquarters of Forever 21. It's simply one of those funny cycles of life. But through it all, our hearts have come back together to that same place of closeness, and dare I say that our bond is deeper than ever before?
As we embark on this rushed 4 month journey (yes it's true!) for Susan's wedding, we're excited to get crazy with last minute decisions and meetups like last Sunday. We met at Tea Station in Cerritos and while the food was good, albeit the complete opposite of healthy, the Hot Taro Milk Tea was out of this world. The nutty taro flavor perfectly melds within every sip. My drink was coffee per usual which I didn't mind one bit. ;) So wish us blessings because this is going to be one crazy Pinterest ball, hah! I love you Susan and Sarah in case you're reading this!
PS: Sorry for the horrible lighting. It is so orange I can hardly take it! Phew, feel better now.
