I'd be lying if told you that I didn't actually enjoy the past month. I've been super fortunate to experience some neat stuff. Stuff that veered my attention away from our recent incident, and stuff that signify newness of life with the spring that comes ever so subtly here in the West Coast. I say 'subtly' because let's face it. Is our weather ever that drastic? And also, can I get an amen for LA's amazing temps right now? :) Yes!
Two Saturdays ago, my friend Susan--whom I consider a sister and the best kind of friend a girl could ask for--got married to Chris. This guy....let me tell you about this guy. I really appreciate this guy so much. Simply because of the fact that he genuinely loves and guards Susan's heart as every man should. There's a reason why I always tell my friends to never ever settle for just good, but to aim for God's best. That season of anonymity can seem like a drag and never ending sometimes, but I promise there are great things in store for those who wait. I honestly couldn't be happier for a friend who has found "the one her heart loves" and I'm honored to be a part of their journey!
The talented team of photographers at Blue Bee captured some breathtaking moments as you can tell, so make sure to check them out if you live in LA or Orange County.
I'm also extremely giddy about the fact that Selah is at her peak of learning right now. It's almost as if I can see her brain synapses soaking up every bit of knowledge and wow, is that exciting! She's much more understanding of life especially if it pertains to cake and sweets (just like momma). Unfortunately she was sick on Easter so Gramma had a mini egg hunt awaiting her the next day.
The funny thing about holidays is that I'm completely out of the loop and still getting used to this thing called the Easter Bunny. When my mother in law asked me, "Is the Easter Bunny coming to see Selah tomorrow...?" with an excited grin of anticipation, I nervously responded, "Errrr I don't...have....a costume for Greg to wear....????" all while I was equating Easter Bunny to Santa Claus in a full blown costume. Doh! I promise though. I'll get the hang of this within the next year or two.
